Art Contest & Exhibition

The Annual Humane Exhibition and Art Contest is Back!

This year’s topic is in honor of our new SPCA Provincial Logo. Our logo features a shelter symbol over the letter ‘P’, representing how all of our branches across the Province exist to shelter and rehome neglected, abused and abandon animals in our communities.

We would love to see your creative submissions show the SPCA how you shelter your companion animal, by designing and drawing the ultimate animal shelter or home for your four legged friend!

Here is how to enter…

Step One: Click and download a registration form (ENGLISH FORM) or (FRENCH FORM)

Step Two: Draw and Design the ultimate animal house/shelter

Step Three: Submit to drawing to – PO box 38073 STN Burnside, Dartmouth Nova Scotia B3B 1X2

Please be sure to clearly fill out the registration form for each submission. Without full contact information, we will be unable to provide each participant with a certificate. Finalists will be chosen on April 25th 2015 and will be contacted via phone. The finalist from each age category (see rules and regulations for categories) will be able to name an animal of thier choice at the branch of thier choice!

Thank you to all the students who participated in our 2014 Humane Education Art Contest!

All of your art work was extremely creative and beautiful .We and the animals were truly impressed with all the talent that is throughout Nova Scotia, you’re ALL animal rescue superheroes. It was a very tough decision to decide our Semi-Finalsts & Finalsts, we and the animals spent weeks trying to decide. Below is a list of all the Semi-Finalsts and Finalsts.


THE THEME OF THIS YEAR’S CONTEST WAS: “What does your ideal animal rescue superhero look like?”
