Dartmouth NS (October 5, 2015) – Charges were laid today, Oct. 5, as a result of the seizure of 24 American Staffordshire Terriers, including several newborn puppies from a home in North Preston on the weekend. Warren Winslow Cain has been charged with violating the Animal Protection Act under the following Sections;
Section 22(a) failed to provide the animal(s) with adequate source of water;
Section 22 (c) failed to provide the animal(s) with reasonable protection from injurious heat or cold
Section 22(d) confine animal(s) to an enclosure or area with inadequate space, unsanitary conditions without providing an opportunity for exercise so as to significantly impair the animal(s) health or well-being
Section 21(2) causing an animal(s) to be in distress
