PRESS RELEASE: Two Annapolis County Individuals Facing Animal Cruelty Charges

Annapolis County, NS (January 17, 2017) –  The NS SPCA has charged two individuals under the Animal Protection Act of Nova Scotia after conducting an investigation involving the roadside abandonment of 4 cats in Annapolis County. Three of the cats were located, one of them deceased, and one cat remains missing.

Naomi Budgell of Lawrencetown and Rodney Budgell of Middleton have both been charged with causing an animal to be in distress; contrary to section 21(1) of the Animal Protection Act of NS.  Both are scheduled to be arraigned February 27, 2017 at the Annapolis Royal Court House.
