Sydney, NS (March 2017) – A 28 year old woman from Sydney and a 30 year old man from Boulardrie have been charged for failing to provide medical attention to a dog and causing distress to their dogs.
Tiffany Diflavio and Brent MacSween were charged under section 21 (1) (causing distress) and 22 (b) (failing to provide medical attention) of the Animal Protection Act of Nova Scotia.
Diflavio and MacSween are scheduled to appear in court on May 4, 2017 at the Sydney Court house.
“Three dogs were seized from the property in Boulardrie early in March. One of the dogs was in severe distress including severe emaciation, unable to walk and was suffering from seizures. Sadly that dog had to be humanely euthanized. Fortunately, the other two dogs were in reasonable condition.” Said Jo-Anne Landsburg, Chief Provincial Inspector of the NS SPCA
