Yarmouth NS (October 30, 2017) – Nicole Jacquard was charged on October 24th, 2017 with causing animals to be in distress contrary to section 21 (1) of the Animal Protection Act and willfully permitting unnecessary pain, suffering or injury to an animal contrary to Section 445.1 (1)A of the Criminal Code of Canada
SPCA officers responded to a complaint received by public and from RCMP in September regarding abuse to dogs. SPCA officers responded and after a thorough investigation, on October 2nd, 2017, a dog was seized from the Jacquard’s residence on Main St in Yarmouth.
Jacquard is scheduled to appear in Yarmouth provincial court on December 18th, 2017 at 9:30am.
