Bark in the Park

SPCA Dog Walk – Bark in the Park on Sept. 20, 2014

Join us for a leisurely walk through beautiful Victoria Park. Meet some new dog friends and their people. Prizes and give-aways for everyone!
Participation Certificates
To reduce waste we will only be issuing participation certificates to those who register for one prior to September 17th. To do so please call the Colchester SPCA 11am-3pm Tuesday-Sunday at 893-7968.
General Information
Colchester SPCA is a registered charity which depends on the support and generosity of others to remain operational. By participating in this event you will help us to operate our animal shelter in the Truro Industrial Park.
Guidelines for Participants
1. Everyone is welcome. If you wish to participate but do not own a dog you may gather pledges and turn them in the day of the walk.
2. Pledge sheets and pledges must be turned in on the day of the walk-a-thon.
3. The event will be held rain or shine.
4. Sponsors who pledge $10 or more will be issued a tax receipt if requested. Make sure the sponsor’s full name and address is recorded.
5. If you are unable to attend the day of the dog walk please make sure your pledges are turned into the shelter beforehand.
6. Registration begins at 9:30 at the picnic pavilion in Victoria Park. Once registered your dog will receive a bandana. Every participant who raises $100 or more will receive a Colchester SPCA Ball Cap.
7. If you wish to have your dog micro chipped it is available for a cost of $25.00 per chip. Chipping time is 9am – 10 am.
8. Prizes will be presented after the dog walk with the 1st place prize going to the individual who raises the most pledges. Prizes will be awarded to the top 5 adults who raise the most in pledges and the top 5 children ( 13 years and under ) who raise the most in pledges.
1. Dogs must be on leash and controlled by an adult at all times. 2. Dogs must have up to date vaccines.
3. Owners must clean up after their dogs.
4. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
