Membership
When you become a member of the Nova Scotia SPCA Kings County Branch you are making a statement about your values, convictions and about how we as a humane society should be treating the animals in our care.
You are setting an example for your children that all responsible and caring people should support their beliefs through action. By participating in the events we hold each year, you teach your children how rewarding it is to help others. What better place to start teaching the benefits of giving than with animals. It is a natural connection.
You become a member of a new network of people committed to the concept of social responsibility and to having fun with their pets. Each quarter the Kings County Branch mails you a newsletter filled with useful information about pets, current and upcoming events, highlights of our activities and other local news. It can be a useful educational tool for reading and discussions with your whole family. Everyone wins... your family, your pets, the needy pets of our community and animals in general.
Membership also grants you voting privileges in our Annual General Meeting, as well as at the Provincial Society's Annual General Meeting. A membership must be purchased by April 1st to hold voting privileges at the Society's Annual General Meeting. Family membership cover a maximum of three people per family, and all members must live in the same household.
