The Kings County SPCA coordinates a a low cost spay neuter program available to everyone. The program is put in place to encourage people to spay and neuter their cats by offering an affordable cost. Currently we partner with the Cornwallis Veterinary Hospital in Kentville and the Bridgetown Animal Hospital in Bridgetown.
The process is as follows:
Email us to obtain the application form or fill out the forms in person at our shelter. When emailing please let us know which clinic you prefer so we can send you the proper forms.
Sign the surgery consent forms/waivers
Pay the fee and we can book you an appointment.
This program does not require your cat to be up to date on vaccinations. We do accept credit card payments in person and over the phone, as well as cash and debit payments at the shelter (at 1285 County Home Rd in Waterville).
Pain medication will be required from the animal hospital when you pick your cat up and that cost will be paid for at the clinic.
Your cat must arrive at the appointment secured in a cat carrier.
This program is only available for cats at this time.
