Dogs:
When you have decided on the specific animal you would like to adopt, please stop in to meet with him or her. Before we can place a hold on that specific animal all adult members of the household must meet him/her, before he/she can be reserved pending your approval for adoption. We do require Puppy socialization and Obedience classes for some of our adoptable dogs to ensure they develop great canine manners and become an important part of your household. After you meet with the dog you are interested in adopting, if you have an dog already in the home, we will then need to schedule a meet and greet for the dogs before going home.
If you are looking to adopt a puppy to add to your family please complete an application below for preapproval and we will notify you when puppies are available, in the mean time continue to keep an eye on our website to view profiles of adoptable dogs and come in to meet with any one you may be interested in.
Cats:
We are now able to complete your application same day. When you are ready to adopt please stop into the shelter to visit the adoptable cats.

The Provincial Animal Shelter addresses nearly 100% of intake related to cruelty investigations and manages the overflow for the province’s network of Branches.
