Membership
For a $15 personal fee ($30 for a family), you can become a member of the Nova Scotia SPCA. This will go a long way to helping the animals, and also gives you a say in the Society's affairs through voting privileges at the Annual General Meeting. We encourage all members to sign up for our electronic newsletter to say informed about Society activities. As a member, you will receive a new Nova Scotia SPCA membership card with an Animal Alert for your wallet. The animal alert card will show that you have pets and it gives the Nova Scotia SPCA number to call so your pet will be looked after in case of an emergency.

As of November 24, 2008, the Board of Directors of the NS SPCA approved the following new membership policies:
- Memberships expire on December 31st of the year they were purchased.
- A membership must be purchased by April 1st to hold voting privileges at the Society's Annual General Meeting.
- Paid staff of the Society can hold non-voting memberships only.
- Family membership cover a maximum of three people per family, and all members must live in the same household.
